License Plate Survey

This will be carried out by the Manual Enumerators. The Enumerators will be deployed at the designated positions in the parking lots where the license plates will be recorded for every 15 minutes interval or so.

This will give the data regarding the duration for which a particular vehicle was using the parking space. This will help in calculating the fare because the fare has been estimated based on the duration for which the vehicles parked. If the time is shorter, then there are fewer chances of missing short term parked vehicles. This method can only be carried out manually, and many enumerators would be required.

The data is collected in an excel format that is user friendly to the client. Our clients have used data in various ways to increase or decrease the parking spaces available, resizing the parking spaces.

The alternative way of conducting this survey is with the installation of cameras which works comprehensively, a count of the cars entering the parking space is done, and after a predetermined interval another count is taken of the vehicles parked in the area, this does not give as much accuracy as compared with Manually, but it is applicable and preferred by a specific category of clients.
